Description: This regular meeting of Massachusetts Ocean Partnership Governing Board is convened to provide status updates on MOP sponsored projects including our science program, communication, and administrative activities and plan future events/activities.

EEA Ocean Advisory Commission Meeting (Plan Principles: Goals and Objectives)

Event Status: OAC Membership, MOP Partners/Prospective Partners and Public Welcome

Description: This EEA-convened meeting of the Ocean Advisory Commission will provide: an update on the MA ocean management process with an outline of the immediate next steps; a review of draft ocean management planning goals and objectives; and a continued discussion of potential ocean management planning framework options for MA.

** Please Note: Parking on the UMB campus is severely limited in the afternoon, if you are driving, please arrive at least one half hour prior to the meeting start to secure a parking space and then walk to the Healey Library. We recommend the use of public transportation if possible.

EEA Science Advisory Council Meeting

Event Status: SAC Membership, MOP Partners/Prospective Partners and Public Welcome

Description: This EEA-convened meeting of the Science Advisory Council will continue their work on the development of the science plan component of the overall MA ocean management plan. An additional potential topic of discussion may be the EEA’s Ecological Valuation Index (EVI) that will be used to delineate planning areas that contain Special, Sensitive, or Unique (SSU) species and/or habitats.
