EEA Stakeholder Meeting (Ocean Management Planning)

Event Status: Ocean use stakeholder representatives, the general public
Description: This EEA led workshop will provide an explanation of the planning process to date, a description of when, where and how stakeholders can provide input while giving an opportunity for representatives of all six EEA Workgroups (Habitat; Renewable Energy; Fisheries; Sediment Management; Recreation and Culture; Transportation, Navigation and Infrastructure) to conduct individual poster sessions summarizing their respective workgroup findings. These EEA workgroups were tasked with the specific responsibility of identifying all pertinent available data relevant to the MA ocean management planning process while noting were significant data gaps existed. Workshop participants will be encouraged to ask questions and provide input.
** The meetings on 02/07/09 and 02/10/09 are identical in scope, duration and content. They are being offered to provide date, time and location flexibility to more easily accommodate stakeholder schedules. If you cannot physically attend either event, both meetings will be webcast live by the MOP as well as posted to this site for later viewing.

MOP Governing Board Executive Committee Meeting

Event Status: MOP Staff and Executive Committee Members
Description: This meeting of the MOP Governing Board Executive Committee was convened to discuss the MOP Science Program and Communications/Outreach Program spending plan priorities for 2009 and 2010. The Executive Committee welcomed our newest board member, Deerin Babb-Brott, of the MA Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, Office of Coastal Zone Management.
